MasonCarey have project managed through to completion the works associated withexternal wall insulation to a residential property in Orpington.

Theproperty renovated is built using solid wall construction and therefore theoccupiers had found a build-up of condensation forming at cold points withinthe building. The condensation is formed where external walls are constructedwithout insulation and warm internal surfaces clash with cold external surfacescreating moisture to occur.

Theteam were able to research available manufacturers providing external wallinsulation and tender the works to a number of specialist companies. The workswere undertaken by a specialist contractor who was able to complete all worksfor the client which included extending windows cills, removing and extendingrainwater goods and essential air vent to the sub floor.

MasonCarey managed the works for the client and a successful outcome has beencreated where the client now enjoys a very well insulated and warm homereducing heating costs and removing the dreaded condensation mould.
