Mason Carey Project House gains Granted Planning Permission
April 9, 2020
Mason Carey gained planning permission for our development house in Royal Tunbridge Wells this week. Since agreeing the purchase the Mason Carey team have been busy creating the planning package for submission and developing the scope of works with our contracts team.
The development property is a detached house in a popular Tunbridge Wells location but is found to be dated throughout and requires extension and moderisation to make it suitable for family accommodation.
Our team liaised with the local authority and neighbouring property owners to ensure the proposals were in-keeping with the street scene whilst ensure the building could be updated.
Since purchase our contracts team have been safely undertaking strip out and demolition works which resulted in finding a large amount of asbestos hidden beneath a number of layers of floor coverings. The next stages of the works shall be to have a specialist contractor remove the asbestos containing materials prior to scaffolding being erected and roof coverings being removed.
The project is keeping our team busy and we shall post regular updates on progress of the development.
