Mason Carey gain granted planning permission for Tunbridge Wells Mixed Use Development

Mason Carey gained planning consent for a mixed use retail and residential development in Tunbridge Wells this week. The scheme was fully designed in-house by the Mason Carey team which included the original measured survey, development proposals and planning applications works.

The proposal creates a large retail unit and six residential dwellings to the first and newly created second floor. The design was formed to be in keeping with the local street scene ensuring height lines of neighbouring properties are not broken whilst using modern construction methods and materials in a manner which did not detract from its surroundings.

We initially obtained pre-application advice from the Tunbridge Wells local authority which greatly assisted in achieving permission for a substantial scheme on the first application made upon the site.

Mason Carey were proud to assist the client on this project and look forward to undertaking the commencing the project management works for the construction of the development over the coming 12 months.
